I love supporting students with their yoga goals and beyond. I decided to become a teacher and I haven't looked back (17 years later). If a simple yoga class could do this much for me, I knew I wanted to share these benefits with others. It gave me an opportunity to look at life more objectively and make make better choices with greater awareness. Yoga was, to me, a representation and reflection of my life state – body and mind. I gained a new life perspective, a sense of health and well-being I never experienced before, and a sense of confidence and purpose. It was worth the sweat, tears, the hard work and total transformation of my entire being – inside and out.

Around 2000, I made the commitment to take the 30 day yoga challenge. The yoga class was challenging both physically and mentally. Something clicked for me when I practiced yoga. I knew I wanted to make a positive change in my life but wasn’t sure how. At the time, I was young and involved with the “wrong crowd” and an unhealthy lifestyle. Little did I know that first class would change my life forever.

As much as I initially resisted the invitation, I finally gave in and took my first class. I started practicing yoga in 1998 at the urging of a good friend and my boss at the time, Vidal Bitton.
